Christmas morning!

What a wonderful Christmas morning we had. It was just the 5 of us, and even though the girls woke up around 5 am, we sent them back to bed until 6:30. The present opening was done in a more orderly fashion than I've ever seen it before: the girls were respectful of others opening their presents. But the excitement level was still high as everyone enjoyed seeing what everyone else got!

Kaitlin wasn't into opening presents - just playing with them after a sister helped her open them. She got a cow on wheels that moos when it moves and it scared her for a few days at first, but now she likes it. She got lots of cow toys this year, purely by coincidence! Nicole's big gift from Mom and Dad was her own digital camera that is really cool because the viewing screen on the back swings out and around so that you can see it when you are taking a self-portrait! It's also bright red which is cool. Caroline has been begging for drums so we got her a digital drum set (that has headphones!) so she was a very happy girl, too!

After mass, we came home to get ready to have the Gelsomino's over for dinner. I made a turkey and John made a ham. There was a lot of food and fun. The girls are really excited because the Gelsomino's gave them a telescope. We'll have to bring it with us when we go camping this summer!

As usual, I preferred to be in the moment rather than watching it all happen from behind a camera, so there are very few pictures. Sorry for my selfishness. (not really!)

Kaitlin loves her cow pillow pet!

The girls have been busy for days working on their Bendaroos sculptures. They look great!
There's the noisy cow I was talking about. (gift from Santa) We had to turn it off for a few days.
