Red Day

It was "Red Day" at school (for drug awareness) and the kids could pay $1.00 to dress out of uniform in as much red as they possibly could. Then there was a contest for who was the "reddest" in the whole school. Both girls were finalists - Caroline came in 4th place and Nicole tied for 1st! She won a $10 gift certificate to Dunkin Donuts for her accomplishment! This is a big deal in this house (you are aware, of course, that we are competitive!) and we went shopping to the second hand store to find as much red as possible. And if we couldn't find what we wanted in red, we colored it red with a permanent marker! (like Nicole's shoes and sunglasses!) Both girls were happy with their costumes and happy to be in 1st and 4th places.
