So now at the end of our vacation, we decided to drive home through Virginia Beach, cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, drive through Delaware, and take the ferry from DE to NJ. We stopped in VA Beach for about an hour or two before heading home. It only made us sad that we had to cancel this part of our trip due to Hurricane Irene. Who knows when we'll next get the chance to visit it. Oh well. The waves were marvelous, the air was HOT, and the salt water taffy and snow cones hit the spot!
