My niece, Shannon, stayed with us for about 2 weeks in June, which was great fun! She came to the pool with us, we went bowling, the kids attended a week of bible camp at the Shrine of St. Joseph, and she got to meet other kids at neighborhood parties. It was a pleasure having her here!
Kaitlin hit many milestones in June. Within the span of about a week, she was rolling over both directions, crawling, sitting up on her own, and pulling herself to standing! Phew! Time to babyproof the house!
Also happening in June, Nicole started piano lessons. She has only had a few so far, but it is amazing how fast she is picking it up. She loves it! One of the first songs she learned was Ode To Joy by Beethoven. Every lesson, she gets a more complicated version of it to practice. Good thing we like that tune! She is also playing "America." It's nice when she knows the tune ahead of time so that it's easier to know if she's doing it right or not. I'll upload movies of her playing the piano later.
