Today was Caroline's first official day of school. She had orientation last week and has been desparate to go ever since! Today, she was ready 20 minutes before time to leave. When we arrived, her friend, Grace, was going in to take her older brother to school (preschool opens just after the big kids begin their day) and instead of doing what they did last year, having the older sibling take the preschooler down early, Grace was going to wait with her mom. I asked Caroline if she wanted to go early, or wait with Grace. She didn't stop running into the school yelling, "NOW!" So Nikki and I brought her down to her room and she completely ignored us as she and Mrs. Tiplady unpacked her backpack. If I had forgotten to kiss her goodbye, she wouldn't have noticed! She had a blast today. Here are some pictures of her with Grace and their other friend, Kennedy. We'll save these for their 8th Grade graduation slide show!

We asked the girls to pose for the picture. Caroline thinks of posing as holding yoga poses from her Wii experience - not posing by smiling and saying "Cheese!" It's a pretty good "tree pose" for a 4-year-old with a backpack on her back!
Caroline, Kennedy and Grace. Otherwise known as "The Morning Friends" since they are the only 3 in their class of 22 who go for 1/2 day rather than a full day til 2:30 like the rest of the school. Sometimes we 3 moms and girls have lunch together after picking up the girls.
