Missing teeth

Caroline's two front teeth have been loose F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I thought they'd never fall out. But they were looking close to falling out about a week before Easter so we made some predictions on when they'd come out. I said before Easter and Doug said between Easter and my birthday. We were both wrong. Sunday night, while watching a family movie before bed, Caroline pulled out one of her teeth! She was so excited because she wanted money! Since it didn't hurt, she decided she'd pull the other tooth out! But it wasn't meant to be - at that moment. We thought she'd given up. But no more than 15 minutes after putting her to bed, she emerged from her dark room, face and arm bloody, holding up her other tooth with a huge, triumphant grin! She was so proud of herself! When that girl wants something, you better not get in her way! The Tooth Fairy left her $3 for her two teeth - more than she usually pays. The funny thing is, she has plenty of money because her birthday was just a few weeks ago. And when she has money, she's eager to give it away to family members, friends who visit, or set it aside for the poor people! But I'm a little uncomfortable with the concept of "selling" body parts for money. Maybe she could donate blood for money - at least the blood would be useful to someone else!!!

Her beautiful smile is forever altered. Like Nikki's, I know it will be another beautiful smile when the big teeth come in. But I miss my little Caroline's smile with the cute gap! In the meantime, her current smile makes ME smile, and it's so cute to hear her talk!

This was taken right before going to bed, after pulling out tooth #1
This was taken right after rinsing out her mouth after pulling out tooth #2!
