Visitors this weekend

This Wednesday night, Peggy, Joel, and cousin Evelyn flew in from Chicago to help celebrate Caroline's 6th birthday. They left really early Monday morning so we had a few days of wonderful weather to cram as much fun into as possible. We're exhausted but happy now! Caroline's actual birthday is tomorrow, March 24. Evelyn's 5th birthday is a few days later on March 29th.

Evelyn's never been here before so it was fun showing her everything and introducing her to our friends. She had a great time playing with neighbors Sarah and Julia and at one point, even Gabriella and Nicholas came out to play! Evelyn was excited to see so many kids at once playing in our yard! It was really cute to see how they all played as if they'd known each other their whole lives.

It was a busy weekend. My big girls had school, and Caroline had choir practice Thursday afternoon. Nicole had a game to cheer for on Sunday. We made time to go to the park, go in to NYC, go to church and then sell Girl Scout cookies afterwards, go out to dinner, and attend a school function Friday night. When it wasn't a school night, my girls joined Grandma, Grandpa, and Evelyn and slept up in the attic/playroom with them. The thought of a sleepover was so exciting, it took forever for them to fall asleep. All in all, a great weekend.
